I woke up this morning slightly before my alarm sounded as usual, but went back to sleep and my alarm woke me up in the end. Just after breakfast, they started fogging the place. This time, they came to the extent of fogging all the way to my doorstep. The door wasn't open but still the smell came in, filled almost the whole of my house. The toilet was so heavily choked with the smell that I couldn't go in to shower.
I was running late and I had no choice but to shower in the choking insecticide. I left home in a rush just to realise that I've left the worksheet I needed most at home. I ran back home, found the worksheet and went to the bus stop again.
The air condition of the bus was working surprising well. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be and that's good. I wasn't patient enough to ride all the way to the interchange so I alighted a few stops before and took the faster route to the MRT station.
The train came after a short wait. The platform was quite packed with people but I didn't have to squeeze my way into the train. I alighted the train after 2 stops and I saw 2 people from Anglican High. I was quite "put off" by that.
It was 10 am and I was worried that the appointment was at 10 am and I had thought that it was at 10.30 am. I waited anxiously for the bus and even considered taking a cab. The bus came after some time and I wasn't late.
I learnt quite a lot through this additional lesson. At least I've refreshed my memory on exposed octaves and fifths and some chord progression. Most importantly, how to practice. I have totally forgotten how to practice the piano. I just play it once, maybe twice and go off instead of picking on all my mistakes and working on them. I still have a long way to work before I can perfect it.
I walked to the bus stop and the bus came after a long wait. It was quite an unpleasant ride as unbearable fumes from somebody's feet rise and pollute the air around me. I had to throw in the towel and alight at Parkway Parade because I did not know how long more the man would stay on the bus. Alas, he alighted at Parkway Parade as well.
I spent some time walking about in MPH book shop before deciding that it would be quite a waste of time for me to walk about doing nothing. I think I caught sight of my sister while on my way out of the building.
The bus was already waiting for me when I reached the bus stop and the ride home was as usual.
I managed to cook chicken patties for my lunch but created quite a mess. Well, it's my first time doing it and I think it is quite good that the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Then play. I went online and played some games before going to take a long afternoon nap. After my nap, I went online and played again.
I had another shower before going to my grandmother's house for dinner. The bus ride was slightly different this time round. The exit doors were out of order and everyone had to alight and board from the entrance. First time I can see Singaporeans being so courteous as to let the passengers alight before boarding.
I had prawns for dinner. Prawns with cereal. I don't really know what you call those but it was really good. Dinner wasn't complete with a serving of yet another episode of Double Happiness.
When I reached home, I played the piano for around an hour. I realised that I have improved quite a bit. If only I had taken my practical now, I would definitely have passed it. The results came out 2 weeks ago and I apparently failed it, as expected.
I think I should stop here and decide what to do tomorrow.
