Strangely enough, the band does not seem to be sounding impressive even when we're only one week away from the concert. I wonder how the audience will take it if we perform at such a standard for majestia. It seems like all the hard work that most of the band members have put in is going to waste. I really do not wish to see my final concert with VJCSB end up like this. Surely we are capable of presenting much better music. Surely we can give the audience something even more than what we gave the adjudicators in Hawaii. I guess all this will not be possible if one person decides not to be fully committed for the next 7 days. I really hope that majestia can be the best concert I've ever performed in.
Lots and lots of concerts are coming up. After majestia, there is the string ensemble concert, followed by piano concert where I might be performing but not on the piano. I think it's kind of funny that I'm in piano ensemble and yet I am not playing on the piano. In August there is Mus'Art Wind Orchestra concert where we will most probably be playing Gustav Holst First Suite in E flat, Debussy's Petite Suite and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Hopefully I will be playing for the beautiful Sunday concert as well.
I guess I've said all I wanted already.
