School today was rather fine. Time passed quite quickly considering that today is a Monday and last Friday was celebrations for founder's day. I have to complete my Literature and Geography homework given to me last week by tomorrow. First period was English, if I am not wrong. We went through the "Childhood" comprehension that I have not even started on. This means another set of homework added to my current list. After that was Chemistry lesson. We spent the first half completing the test paper that we have started on last Monday and spent the next half correcting the paper. Then it was Chinese. We had to complete a composition that we did on the 22 April. I cannot imagine how long ago that was. Anyway, I merely added only about half a page's worth of content before handing up the paper.
Literature followed, and then Mathematics. Time really flew and soon it was Physics practical. Mrs Tan spent quite a while talking about some things that I do not think anyone paid any attention to before we were allowed to start on our practical. I think this was the easiest practical I have ever done. I completed the whole thing in around 10 minutes. In fact, if I had read the questions before attempting to plot the graph, I wouldn't even have needed to carry out the experiment. The next two periods of Civics and Moral Education was very relaxing. We watched a movie but I cannot remember the title. I don't think it has any relation whatsoever to moral education.
As usual, I took a cab down to Dunman High to attend the Music lesson. We did quite a lot of useful recapitulation on African and Japanese music before moving on to some listening.
I better eat some dinner and start doing my homework before it gets too late.
Yesterday, I was busy studying for today's Geography test or rather, busy catching up on sleep. I only managed to read through around 10 pages of the textbook before falling asleep and waking up only the next morning. Anyway, the test today was tough. Most of the things did not come from the textbook.
I shall start writing about what happened on Tuesday onwards. I woke up feeling very excited about going onto the stage to make a short announcement about the 24th July performance. All thanks to Mr Wang, my whole day was spoilt. I'll explain why. Firstly, he was the person who gave us the green light to make the announcement the night before, but on Tuesday morning, he asked Jun Long and I in a very harsh manner what we were doing in font of the stage. Well, I could forgive him if he had forgotten about the annoucement, but when I told him about the announcement, he said that no students were allowed to make announcements, and mumbled something about telling our teacher-in-charge that we are not allowed to do so. He made me use his user unfriendly pen to write out the details and accused me of intentionally trying to spoil his pen. I really couldn't stand it. Later on, during PE, my spectacals broke while I was playing street soccer. I just couldn't believe that I could be so unlucky.
I think this entry is rather unproductive. I am chatting on MSN, messaging someone on the phone and trying to listen to some of the news. I shall continue either tomorrow or during the weekend.
I'll be going on stage with Jun Long tomorrow. I won't say anything about it. It will be a surprise for all.
I think I have said quite a lot for today. I better go grab some dinner before I get gastric.
Today has really been a fun, enjoyable and interesting day. I am quite exhausted and I still have a Chemistry test tommorrow which I have not studied for yet. I better be going.
I am quite disgusted with the attitude the people in band are showing now, on the whole. I just want to graduate and not see any more of these happenings because it really spoils my day.
I have also found out that I will be having two piano practical examinations on the same day, 30th August. One will be the Associated Board of Royal Royal Schools of Music examination, and the other would be the preliminary examination. It is a pity that I cannot reuse the pieces for both the examinations. Now I have to spend a lot more time practising on the piano to prepare for the examinations.
I shall continue when I have the mood to do so.

I wonder whether it is me or not, that I feel extremely tired only when I am studying for a test on the next day. I have fallen asleep while trying to read through the Physics text book for tomorrow's test. I guess it is the studying part that makes me sleep. There will be no way I can do well for tomorrow's test because I practically do not understand anything Mrs Tan taught us and I cannot get any thing into my head now.
I can feel the weight of my eyelids crushing down causing them to slowly narrow the gap, till the point where I experience total darkness, and never open again until the next day. I have to stop here.
Lessons were quite boring today, constituting mostly of double periods. School ended only at 3.05pm. Thankfully for the double Chinese period, we watched a movie instead of doing a composition or learning some things.
Tomorrow will be the first rehearsal for National Day and the third for founder's day. I have totally forgotten about all these and I have told Mr Chua to come at 2pm. I hope he won't get angry because of this.
Band will not be easy from now on. There must be a few more meetings to confirm the new committee and also as many band practices as possible to practice for the performance on the 24 July and the school's National Day Parade.
I'm feeling a little tired already. Once again, I want to thank everybody for making today a very special day for me.
I'll keep this entry short and continue tomorrow, if I have the time. I still have to go for a meeting for the National Day Parade celebrations after school tomorrow. I wonder why they must choose such a day for the meeting.
I just came home after attending the band fiesta at the Singapore Botanic Garden. The bands really put up a good performance.
I'm very tired already.
It is a very tiring day for me. I woke up at 6am so that I could get to the stadium a little earlier but I reached only at 6.30am. I really think that the banners are very nice, and I like the banners. Very creative. I felt rather sick in the morning, but after the first sprint, I totally forgot that I was sick and for a moment, I seemed to be as well as any other person even though I was down with asthma.
The cheering competition went on rather well. I did not expect the NCC to get first at all because they practically re-used their last year's cheer which got them first. This is so unbelievable. Anyway, I did not know how on earth I managed to do the dance, standing in front of the whole group, in front of the whole school. I don't think I will ever dare to do that again. I must credit all those people who spent so much time teaching me the dance.
After the whole of sports day, we went to the track and ran a round despite the heavy drizzle and did the bandship dance. Thankfully, the drizzle stopped and the sun came out again. I think I have some photos taken then. I want to thank all the people who stayed back who sang the birthday song for me. I have never felt any happier for the whole of today. Thanks.
After going back to band room, I went back home for lunch and went for tuition. It was quite a boring lesson on Vectors and I made some form of careless mistake for every single question. I don't believe it. I have never been so careless in my whole life before. The only reason I can think of is that I must be too tired from all the running.
Anyway, I went home after the lesson and slept for 3 straight hours despite some inconsiderate people blasting Indian, Malay, Chinese and English music all thanks to the racial harmony celebrations. I had my dinner after waking up.
Just as I was chatting to some of my friends on MSN, I realised that I have lost my spare battery for my camera, most probably at Bedok stadium. If I had lost my water bottle or some money, it wouldn't be that bad. The battery costs $111. I shouldn't have brought the spare today. Now I have to save up to get another one. I do not even have the slightest hope that it will ever be returned to me.
I guess this would be enough for today as I will still have to wake up at 6.30am tomorrow morning because I have to leave home by 7.30am to go for a fund raising run organised by my father's company. It would be another 3 km to go. I'm not sure if I will wake up with aches all over my body tomorrow.
I am feeling much better and I think I am at least half recovered.
I'll be running for the 400m event, the 4 X 100m event and the 4 X 400m event tomorrow. I don't think I can do much for the last event. Two 400m sprints is too much for me to handle.
I'm planning to sleep a little earlier tonight so that I can be well rested for tomorrow's run.
Anyway, I'm feeling much better now, but I seem to be still as sick as I was yesterday.
I must recover in time for the sports day.
Nothing much happened today, other than going for tuition again and going for lunch at Pastamania at Parkway Parade. Lunch was very filling. I think I ate like a pig. Until now, I still feel bloated. I think I can skip tomorrow's breakfast as well.
I have nothing much to say already. I might go for another night jogging session later on to make sure that I remain fit. Hopefully,I can watch Spiderman 2 tomorrow.
I had quite a busy week, especially during the first few days of the week. I had so much homework to complete and so many places to rush to the moment something finishes. Luckily, I managed to complete most of my homework on time but I had to do with less sleep.
I guess I did not write much during the week so I shall try to recall as much as I can, what happened during the week. On Monday, the public announcement system was not working and the people on the stage were shouting, trying to get the attention of the students but it did not work too well. The timetable was changed once again, making it at least the third or fourth time this year that the timetable is changed. Can't they spend a little more time planning the timetable so that it can last for the whole year? After school I took a cab to Dunman High for my music lesson. This time, it cost $7.10, quite a considerable amount more than the usual amount. We did nothing much there other than doing part of last year's preliminary papers and one listening exercise. A very long tiring day.
Tuesday was another day for homework rushing. Nothing special took place in school other than the introduction of a few new teachers who have joined the school. Nothing much happened after school either. The band room was so empty that I can use my fingers to count the number of people in it. Those who were inside were not doing anything much either, so I decided to lock it and go home early to get some rest. After that I went for tuition. We were still having lessons on vectors. There was this blackout that affected a third of Singapore. I am one of the lucky ones who wasn't affected by it.
I can't really remember what happened on Wednesday. The only thing I can recall after thinking hard for 5 minutes is that the sports day heats were held after school. I guess the only events that Band got through are the B division girls and boys 4 X 100m, B division boys 4 X 400m (we auto-qualified for it because only 8 teams turned up at the heats), and a few other individual events. That means that I will have to run for the 400m event, and both the relay events. I don't think I am fit enough to do that. After the heats, I went back to band room. Junior band was not very productive but I must say that the sec 3s are quite efficient in getting things done because on the night before, everything was still not done but the next day, they managed to get quite some things done.
Thursday was the start of July, and also the start of the 'O' Level Chinese oral examination. Thankfully, I was not down for oral on the first day. I had sectional after school though. It was not very productive. Less than a third of the section turned up and we started only at around 4pm. Everything they have gained during the holidays seemed to have been lost through the one week where they did not touch their instruments.
Friday was the day I sat for my oral examination. I was the second person on the list, taking the examination on the second day. Not very much of a frightening experience but it was enough to make me forget everything that I have tried to squeeze into my brain before going into the library. I even felt as though I was in an anti-gravity chamber when I was sitting on the chair, having the conversation with the examiners. I hope that I will be able to get a good grade for the oral. I went for band after that. Band room was fully packed. It was the first time I experienced how it was like to just stand, listen, and try to teach someone the right thing. One week of not touching their instruments really creates a disaster.
As for today, I had the listening paper in the morning. The best part of it was that I realised that I had left my pencil case at home just as I was within walking distance from school. I was too lazy to ask my father to turn round and bring me home to get my pencil case so I decided to borrow a pencil and an eraser. Luckily for me, Vanessa lent me a pencil and Torrance managed to borrow an eraser from her friend for me. I must thank all these people. The listening paper was tough, maybe it was because I was a little nervous and not focused enough. I had problems concentrating on the paper somehow. Anyway, I think I have already made at least 3 mistakes.
After that, a few sec 3s went with me to take a look at the venue for our performance on the 24 July before going back to band room where they continued to learn the dance for sports day. We went for lunch at around 12 plus and I went home for my piano lesson. All thanks to my sister, I had to take 2 lessons this week, and after that, I had to go for tuition. I did not really do much there because I was already quite tired and I did not feel like pushing myself anymore.
I think that should be about all that happened this week. If it's not all, I cannot be bothered to crack my brain anymore because I have spent the last hour typing all the above things while watching the television and some news. 3 separate blackouts in Singapore since Tuesday.
Hopefully there won't be anymore blackouts.
I'm not feeling too good right now. When will everything be over?
I'll be taking my 'O' Level Chinese orals tomorrow afternoon and I'm the second person on the list on the second day. Listening will be held on Saturday, and I realise that I will be taking the same paper as most of the secondary 3 students. How great, I'm one year behind.
