Saturday, September 18, 2004 Three quarters more to go...

It has been a long time since my last update. Apologies for having not update for that long. I had tried banning myself from using the computer, or at least the internet because of the preliminary examinations.

It hasn't been a very good week for me. After the performance on 11th September, I woke up with a sore throat the next morning. It became worse on Monday and by Tuesday, it worsened to a flu. I was down with fever on Wednesday and I slept after having lunch at home from 3pm till 10pm before having dinner and trying to squeeze some time to rush through some of the things I need to read for my literature paper the next day.

So far, most of the papers single paper has been rather unfairly set. It is either too difficult or a little too easy. Not in the sense that it is too simple, but as in it is slightly below standard. The source based questions for Social Studies was quite a killer. So many things that were not found in the textbook came of for the Geography paper. Additional Mathematics one of the easy papers so far. English was quite manageable, only that I had a great deal of problems trying to find points for my summary. Again, it was a double passage. The literature paper was tough. I could hardly think of anything to write before the one and a half hours was up. I did not really answer two of the questions. Anyway, if I were given all the time I wanted, I do not think that I can come up with a good answer for it. Elementary mathematics was average and I did not know how to do a question. I hope I did not make any careless mistakes. Physics paper is another killer. Maybe I wasn't prepared for it. I was careless and made a lot of mistakes even though I knew the answers. If I had prepared more, I would not have made those mistakes.

I hope I did not bore you all out with all those about the preliminary examinations. Thankfully next week will be a slightly lighter week with only four days to go. I must start revising for my Chemistry and not let it end up like my Physics.

Anyway, the results of the Mayor's Innobiz Award are finally out today. My team got the consolation prize. I think that we have come a long way to win the prize considering how simple the idea is. The prize presentation ceremony was held outside The Heeren Shops this afternoon.

I do not know what else to mention in here already. Thank you for all the tags and good luck messages! I will make it a point to update on Thursday.
