Close to a week after Majestia XXI already. Tomorrow is the string ensemble concert. I have nothing against them but to say the truth, unless you really love classical music, don't go for the concert or you'll just fall asleep. Even I might find it difficult to stay awake if not that I'm playing. I seriously cannot imagine attending a concert where only 2 works are performed. I'll be bored to death. Anyway, they will be playing Beethoven's first symphony in C major and one of Tchaikovsky's works at Jubilee hall.

Moving back to Majestia XXI, I think that overall the audience felt that the concert was quite good though I believe that it really wasn't even close to what we played during rehearsals. Of course there were some things that were better, but I feel that we weren't focused enough during the concert itself or we would have played much better. I was quite disappointed with our "With Heart and Voice" because we sounded so much better in Hawaii. Why can't we play just as well in the PT? It would have been really nice if my last time playing that piece could be the best time I've ever played it. The clarinet ensemble was I guess not very good either. We started off at a crazy tempo all thanks to me. Sorry for that. Probably I wasn't thinking of the tempo before starting because I was more worried whether I could get the right notes when I only could see the first page of the score because one stand was spoilt. Thankfully we managed to deliver something decent to the audience. I guess most of the rest of the concert went on fine. I want to thank Hong Wei for coming down with that cute little Garfield and all my other friends who came to watch me perform.

Some interesting things after the concert. Section supper after at parkway McDonald's turned up to be a small scale JTS. A pity they didn't have chocolate sundae already because that was the only thing I felt like eating. Anyway, I had a cup of green tea before leaving for Simpang Bedok for prata. I must say that the egg prata was the best I have ever had but the milo dinosaur was sort of expensive at $2.

Band JTS on Sunday was great, or rather I had quite a good time even though it was quite boring at times. Actually there wasn't much to do other than to talk to my friends and maybe some of the people I don't normally talk to. I must really acknowledge the effort put in by the year 1s in buying and cooking all the food and for putting in so much effort to make the video and create the "haunted house". I think it really takes a lot to come up with all these. Too bad we didn't manage to take a zoo picture.

I had to carry Clarity and the bass to Tampines McDonald's where 3/4 of the zoo had breakfast before watching X men 3 which I thought was someone making a big fuss out of nothing. Maybe it's because I don't really know what was happening. After that, I had to rush back to school for string ensemble practice.

Investiture on Tuesday was spoilt because of string ensemble practice. I didn't even manage to take pictures with the people I wanted to. Everything was so rushed and I don't think that many people are happy with all that rushing. Clarinet section had JTS at Pariss at night. I must say that I enjoyed myself there not so much the eating part but just before we left where we were taking tonnes of pictures. Thanks for the JTS.

Nothing much really happened yesterday. I almost fell asleep in esplanade library while listening to Beethoven's symphony number 1 before having a burger I bought in the morning for lunch on 36 on my way back to school for string ensemble practice. After practice went with 3/4 of the zoo to watch Da Vinci Code. I still don't quite get what the whole movie was about but I think that the beginning part was really gory. It's really quite sick to see someone inflicting pain or torture in this case, on himself.

I'll stop here because my nose is not being good. I'm feeling quite uncomfortable with the half blocked nose and itching throat. It's not really helping that I'm feeling warm but can't have the fan blowing at me. Maybe I'll update some other time.
